A Craft Tradition, Recast

The Eva Collection debuts as Maiden Home’s second collectible series, following the Rene Tables in 2025. The collection—comprising a sideboard, armoire, and nightstand—is realized by artisans in upstate New York, who shape the wood, and a husband-and-wife ceramic duo in Colorado, who mold and glaze each tile before it is hand-set into the facades.

Designed in our Tribeca studio, the Eva Collection follows our collectible series approach, beginning with an exploration of materials and the hands that shape them—form following. Each piece is handcrafted in limited runs of ten, in which

two traditions of making come together, both demanding precision and time.

Clay is molded into tile and left to cure, then fired and glazed in two bespoke hues, achieving a natural matte finish in its final firing.

White oak or walnut is cut and shaped into geometric forms, then joined and sanded before being finished in a varnish that preserves and reveals the material’s distinct grain.

The two meet: each tile is hand-set into its wooden frame—a pairing that nods to the Arts and Crafts ethos, where materials are chosen for their inherent character and the imprint of handwork.

Each piece in the Eva Collection carries the story of its creation. The human presence is quietly visible throughout: in subtle variations and traces of touch. These details are not concealed, but celebrated—evidence of a process guided by hand and refined over time.

With Rene and now Eva, we explore the bounds of materials, pushing them to their edges in close collaboration with master artisans. The Eva Collection continues a manifesto for serious craft, enduring materials, and original design.
